HBO et Jesse Armstrong poursuivent leur collaboration avec un nouveau projet centré sur l’univers des milliardaires. Cette fois, il s’agit d’un film, marquant les débuts d’Armstrong en tant que réalisateur, plus d’une décennie après sa nomination aux Oscars pour In the Loop (2009).
Steve Carell tiendra le rôle principal, Randall, accompagné de Ramy Youssef (Ramy), Jason Schwartzman (Asteroid City) et Cory Michael Smith (May December). Ensemble, ils incarnent un groupe d’amis milliardaires confrontés à une crise mondiale grandissante.
Le tournage démarre ce mois-ci à Park City, dans l’Utah, avec une sortie prévue sur HBO.
Armstrong, qui a remporté sept Emmy Awards avec Succession, revient donc avec un projet qui s’annonce tout aussi mordant.
